Frequently asked questions

What is heat treatment?

Heat treatment is the general term for controlled heating and cooling processes used to change a metal’s properties. The process is selected according to the material, intended use and required properties.

Which heat treatment services do you offer?

Our services include carbonitriding, quenching and tempering, normalising, stress relieving, annealing of copper alloys, isothermal annealing and gas carburising. Share your technical information with us to discuss a suitable process for your part.

What information should I provide for a quotation?

Please provide the material grade, technical drawing, quantity, target hardness and other technical requirements. Include any applicable specification and previous manufacturing steps where available.

How can I find the right process for my part?

The material, part geometry and operating conditions need to be considered together. Send your technical drawing and required properties to discuss process selection with us.

What is the difference between annealing and hardening?

Annealing is used in many applications to soften a material and adjust its machinability. Hardening aims to increase hardness in suitable materials. The choice depends on the material and the stage of manufacturing.

Where are your branches?

Our Sefaköy headquarters is in Küçükçekmece, Istanbul, and our Dilovası branch is in the Dilovası Organised Industrial Zone in Kocaeli. Visit our contact page for full addresses, phone numbers and directions.
